ABOUT US
IAGA covers a broad range of research topics related to the geomagnetic field and aeronomy. It includes six divsions, that focus on Internal Magnetic Fields, Aeronomic Phenomena, Magnetospheric Phenomena, Solar Wind and Interplanetary Field, Geomagnetic Observatories, Surveys and Analyses, and Electromagnetic Induction in the Earth and Planetary Bodies.
The activities of IAGA Working Groups, Divisions, and Commissions vary. Some have ongoing initiatives, dedicated websites, and mailing lists, while others primarily organize sessions at scientific meetings and additional topical workshops in between.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
There is no individual membership process but you can subscribe to the IAGA mailling list by simply writing an email to iaga_ms-on@gfz-potsdam.de. You can also attend to the business meetings that interest you during the scientific assemblies. The next meeting will be the Joint IAGA-IASPEI Assembly in Lisbon in 2025: https://iaga-iaspei-2025.org/
