WELCOME!
IASPEI advances research on earthquakes, seismic sources, and the transmission of seismic waves, as well as the Earth’s structure and internal processes. Many topics discussed in IASPEI are interdisciplinary and of interest for the other IUGG Associations. IASPEI has four Regional Commissions and contacts to more than 130 countries. We invite you to join us by participating on research and scientific exchanges! Please see more about IASPEI at: http://iaspei.org.
ABOUT US
You can work with us on specific topics as carried out through Commissions, Committees, task and working groups formed to meet specific thematic needs of the IASPEI research community. See more about our Commissions at: http://iaspei.org/commissions. Find our Newsletters at: http://iaspei.org/newsletters.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
While IASPEI doesn’t have a formal individual membership process, every participant in a IASPEI sponsored event, such as our Assemblies or Regional Commission meetings, is automatically considered part of the IASPEI community! To stay in the loop, simply send us your email at iaspei@norsar.no, and we’ll keep you updated with the IASPEI Newsletters. We also invite you to participate in our meetings where new ideas are discussed. Check out the details for our upcoming meetings here: http://iaspei.org/upcoming-dates. We hope you become part of IASPEI community!
YOUR INITIATIVE
Please reach out to the chair of the Commission that interests you. You can find the chair’s contact information by selecting your Commission at the following link: http://iaspei.org/commissions. The best is just participating in the Commission meetings during our Assemblies, which are open for everyone. If you have any ideas for new IASPEI activities, don’t hesitate to contact the IASPEI Secretary General, Johannes Schweitzer, atiaspei@norsar.no.
