ECS VIDEO SERIES: Vincent OGEMBO (IAHS)

Meet Vincent! A Kenyan researcher passionate about tackling the challenges of climate change and water management. His mission: to understand how hydro-climatic processes are changing in East Africa and how we can better prepare for the increasing risks of floods and extreme weather.

Vincent’s research focuses on hydro-climatic modeling, using satellite data to monitor lake levels and analyze how water systems respond to shifting climatic conditions. Centered on Lake Victoria — a vast body of water twice the size of Belgium — his work helps improve early-warning systems and guide adaptation strategies for communities affected by flooding.
